I: Product Introduction and Purpose

本公司加工生产的氢氧化镁,是由精选的天然水镁石矿通过先进生产工艺加工而成,产品纯度高,分子式为Mg (OH)2。水镁石单晶体呈厚板状,常见为片状集合体,有时成纤维状集合体,称为纤水镁石(Nemalite)或水镁石。颜色呈白至淡绿色,含有锰或铁者呈红褐色,水镁石的颜色变化取决于混入物的含量,如含铁、锰杂质的变种呈现黄色或褐红色。解理面为珍珠光泽,新鲜晶面与断口现玻璃光泽,纤水镁石呈丝绢光泽。

The magnesium hydroxide processed and produced by this company is made from selected natural brucite ores through advanced production process. With a high purity, the product has molecular formula Mg (OH)2. The brucite mono-crystal is plank-like, commonly lamellar aggregate and sometimes fibrous aggregate, being called nemalite or brucite. The color is from white to light green and reddish brown if containing manganese or iron.  The color change of brucite depends on the mixture content, for example, the variants containing iron, manganese foreign matters are in yellow or maroon color. The cleavage surface has pearl gloss, the fresh crystal surface and fracture has glass gloss, the nemalite has silk gloss.

氢氧化镁与氢氧化铝因分解吸热量大,并产生H2O可起到隔绝空气作用,其分解后氧化物又是耐高温物质,故二种阻燃剂不仅可起到阻燃作用,而且可以起到填充作用,具有不产生腐蚀性卤气及有害气体、不挥发、效果、无毒、无烟、无滴落等特点。
氢氧化镁较氢氧化铝具有如下优点:①氢氧化镁热分解温度达350℃,比氢氧化铝高100℃,故有利于塑料加工温度的提高,加快挤塑速度,缩短模塑时间;②氢氧化镁与酸的中和能力强,可较快地中和塑料燃烧过程产生的酸性气体SO2、NOx、CO2等;③氢氧化镁分解反应焓变高,吸收热量大,有利于吸收燃烧热,提高阻燃效率;④氢氧化镁抑烟能力强、硬度小,对设备摩擦小,有助于延长生产设备寿命。

With a high heat-absorbing capacity in decomposition in which H2O is produced to isolate air and the oxide after decomposition being a high-temperature resistant substance, the two fire-retarding types of magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide can not only retard fire but can also be used as a filler. It is characterized by producing no corrosive halogen and harmful gas, being non-volatile, non-toxic, free from smoke and dripping, etc.

In comparison with aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide has the following advantages: ① The heated decomposition temperature of magnesium hydroxide is 350°C, 100°C higher than that of aluminum hydroxide. This is conducive to the heightening of plastic processing temperature, plastic extrusion speed and molding time shortening; ② The ability of magnesium hydroxide to neutralize with acids is strong enough to quickly neutralize the acidic gases of SO2, NOx, CO2, etc. produced in plastic combustion; ③ The enthalpy change of magnesium hydroxide decomposition reaction is high with the heat absorbed being large. This is conducive to the absorbing of combustion heat and the heightening of the fire-retarding efficiency; ④ The smoke suppression ability of magnesium hydroxide is high, the hardness is small with less friction with equipment.
