1．氢氧化铝与其它很多阻燃填料不同，它热解时不产生有毒和有腐蚀性的气体，而且热解时吸收热和释放水蒸汽，使制品具有阻燃自熄性能，因而在塑料、橡胶等高级材料中添加该产品，不仅使制品具有阻燃消烟效果，而且抗漏电、耐电弧、耐磨性能增强。

当该阻燃剂受热到一定程度时开始脱水吸收热量并汽化产生H2O从而降低可燃物的温度并稀释可燃物汽化物和助燃气体的浓度，同时在可燃物表面形成氧化物隔离层，从而实现可燃物阻燃目的。

When the flame retardant is heated to a certain degree, it begins to dehydrate and absorb heat and vaporize to produce H₂O to reduce the temperature of the combustibles, and dilute the concentration of the vaporized matters of the combustibles and the combustion-supporting gas. At the same time, an oxide isolation layer is formed on the surface of the combustibles to achieve the purpose of flame retardation thereof.
